Recipe for Cranberry TartIngredients for Cranberry Tart: 2 cups cranberries, chopped
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 ½ cups sugar, divided
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup butter, melted
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
¼ teaspoon orange extract, optional
Powdered sugar, for serving Cranberry Tart preparation instruction: 1) Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 10-inch springform pan.
2) Combine cranberries, walnuts, and ½ cup sugar in a large bowl; mix well. Spread evenly among bottom of prepared pan.
3) Combine remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and salt in a large bowl; whisk well. Stir in butter, eggs, zest, and extract; mix well. Pour over cranberry mixture.
4) Place springform pan on a deep baking sheet; bake 40 to 45 minutes, until set and lightly golden. Cool pan on a wire rack, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
