Recipe for Creole Steak
Ingredients for Creole Steak: 2 lb Lean round steak.
¼ cup of Flour.
2 teaspoons of Salt.
2 teaspoons of Paprika.
½ teaspoon of Pepper.
3 tablespoons of Vegetable oil.
1 cup of Choppped Onion.
1/3 cups of Chopped Green pepper.
1 can tomatoes.
½ cup of Raw rice.
1 cup of Condensed beef broth.
1 cup of Water. Creole Steak preparation instruction: 1. Cut the steak into 7 equal serving pieces.
2. Mix the flour, salt, paprika and pepper, then dredge meat in mixture.
3. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Lightly brown the onions and green peppers then remove from oil.
4. Brown the meat in remaining oil. Put the onions and green peppers back in the pan. Cut up tomatoes and add with their liquid to meat.
5. Sprinkle the rice into pan. Add the broth and water.
6. Over a high heat, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over a medium-low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
